David Hasselhoff (born in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, July 17th, 1952) is an American actor and singer. He is probably best known for playing Mitch Buchannon in "Baywatch". In 1993, he along with the "Basic Kids" released a rap song in Switzerland called the Pingu Dance, which also featured bits of dialogue from the series. A section of David Hasselhoff's song later became the theme tune to seasons 3 and 4 as well as the newer re-dub versions of seasons 1 and 2. His song was also used for the episode: Pingu Looks After The Egg.
