Mrs. Peng-Sniff is Pingu's family's nosey and very grouchy neighbour who is always spying on Pingu as he goes past her igloo. When Pingu is nosily having fun, Mrs. Peng-Sniff often comes out to shout at him and chase him and his friends off with her carpet beater. One day though, when she got locked out of her igloo after she takes Pingo's ball, she lets Pingu climb through window to unlock her door. After this, Mrs. Peng-Sniff gives them back their ball and since then has been more kind-hearted towards young penguins.
