The Adventures of Pingu was a series of audiocassetes produced by BBC Audiobooks Ltd., for their BBC Young Collection franchise. There were in total of two audiocassetes made which contain ten Pingu stories, adapted for audio, written by Sibylle Von Flue and narrated by Sarah Greene, featuring the original music from the television series, with added sound effects. In 2011, there were rereleased by AudioGo under the name Hello Pingu and Hide and Seek.

- This series reveals the names of Mr. Peng-Hoven, Mr. Peng-Chips, and Mr. Penga-Brass.
- Much of the characters aside from Pingu and Pinga all have different names in this narration. For example, Robby is named Seymour, Pingo is called Pengwit in Building Igloos and Pengru in most of the other stories, and Pingg is called Pengward. However, the names Pengru and Pengward are swapped around on them in Noise.
- In Music Lessons, Pingu's parternal grandfather is called Professor Pengalson and it's never mentioned that he's related to Pingu.
